Heat Temperature as Energy Exchange
Placed immersion heater with power of 4.3 W in 200 mL of
room temp water in order it see how the heat changes verses temperate and determine the slope.
The immersion heater ran for 20 sec and generated 86 joules of heat.
The graph shows a linear relationship between Temp and heat.
The slope of the graph of Heat (J) vs. Temp(degrees Celsius) is a
representation of the heat required to change the temperature of the water by
one degree when is mass independent. The
slope =0.8372 J/degree C which is our heat capacity. The equation is Q=cT where c if the heat capacity of water.
